About the program

During the Grant Week, PhDs will learn all about ‘making an impact’ with your research, but also on applying for individual grants such as a Veni, MSCA or ERC.

About the workshop

During this inspirational workshop, participants get an overview of the world of possibilities of valorisation and impact. Trainers from THRIVE Institute utilize their years of experience working at the intersection of science, innovation, and practice to help PhD candidates maximize their impact. In doing so, you will look at the different routes towards impact, what it means for a researcher to make an impact, what would work for you, and how you can integrate impact in your research proposal. THRIVE will debunk misunderstandings about impact, provide examples of science communication and research-based policy, and outline frameworks for implementation. At the end of the workshop, there is time available for participants to explore the direction(s) they see for themselves and to determine the first steps to kick-start their valorisation journey.
