Civil servants and policymakers in Northeast Friesland strengthen their plans to maximise broad value creation in the region.
The region of Northeast Friesland wants to become the leading region of Friesland. Achieving this requires not just economic growth, but also a strong focus on the wellbeing of people and nature. The municipality asked THRIVE to co-develop a vision for the region based on meaningful policy, with broad value creation at its core.
Meaningful policy strengthens both economic and societal value. Through themes such as the Theory of Change and evidence-based policy THRIVE guided civil servants applied these tools to their current policy plans.
Civil servants developed a shared vision for Northeast Friesland, aligning their disciplines and responsibilities with the region’s ambitions. The resulting policies now reflect the region’s unique character, contributing not only to economic strength but also to the wellbeing of people, animals, and nature.
The expertise developed within the program now serves as the foundation for future policy-making in Northeast Friesland.
