A board game helping social entrepreneurs and civil servants better understand their target groups.
This project set out to improve communication between social entrepreneurs, governments, and other stakeholders involved in guiding target groups toward employment or education. The aim was to strengthen collaboration and build mutual understanding across sectors.

After extensive stakeholder research and a year of development, the game Stadsbengels was launched. Created by a multidisciplinary team of young researchers, it is a physical board game designed to be played by stakeholders from various institutions. A concise publication was also produced to further support collaboration between parties working with target groups.
The board game is now available to organizations in the Rotterdam ecosystem, enabling policymakers and entrepreneurs to step into the shoes of target groups and collaborate more effectively. This has already led to an increase in successful guidance trajectories. The accompanying publication is freely accessible.
Together with our partners, we are exploring how to make the game accessible to all interested parties. Organizations interested in helping expand its reach are more than welcome to get in touch via our contact form.
